This is a haven for inquisitive spirits and sensitive souls. This virtual community is my creation – designed, written, and carefully tended by me, Skye.
Our emotions are universal. Consider Virginia Woolf’s struggle with creativity when she felt disconnected from her surroundings. Or Mary Oliver’s desire for timelessness, born from a fear of disruption. Or Gabriel García Márquez’s need to create inner stillness for inspiration.
Nature’s Bookstore collects shared wisdom and common experiences. It’s about finding connection and joining a continuum of thoughts and feelings that spans time and place.
I’ve built this online space and invite you to explore it with an open mind.
I’m based in Florida, surrounded by Nature. My background includes writing, photography and web design. Despite various experiences, I always felt a sense of incompleteness.
A persistent feeling of isolation lingered. It wasn’t until I finally had my own space and enough room that I felt compelled to nurture plants and things wild, and grow.
I began connecting ideas from my reading: reflections on loss, mortality, recollection, belonging, and even physical spaces. Nature’s Bookstore is a collection of our shared human experiences.
We have much in common.
I invite you to this space where you can stand alongside literary giants not as distant figures, but as fellow humans who grappled with the same emotions we face today.
Exploring life means connecting with our own humanity and that of others.
Nature’s Bookstore represents my best self. It energizes my spirit, uplifts my body, and expands my mind. It’s my community.
